Well I had THAT day yesterday...

If it was five years ago - I would have stayed at home and hid myself from the world....

...but nowadays I refuse to give in to feeling bad about myself and I stare those days right in the EYE!! 

I'd go to the gym...put on some SEXAY clothes/ call up my friends/ put on my lenses/ do all the make up tricks I know/ style my hair/ pick out a new outfit from the closet/ go to a fancy restaurant & Have a stylish good ol-time!!! 

You may wake up feeling like a wreck - but how u decide to go about the day and CHANGE your mood is completely up to you! 

You have it in YOU!!!

BTW I bought this black shirt from Malaysia. I had never worn it as it was a little too plain. So I bought this turquoise colored glitter glue and I designed the side of the shirt. The combination of glittery turquoise on plain black really makes the whole person POP!!   

...& to make my eyes really stand out - I used some black eye shadow on the lower lid of the eye and smudged it out to give me the sexy bedroom look!! Then I put on a silver grey eye shadow on the inner corner of my eyes to make me alive in the face!!! Very helpful tip if you want to hide sleepiness/ look awake or even draw attention away from eye bags!!! MAKE-UP Tutorial 101!!! (More make-up tutorials to follow in time ;)

The whole show was a stand out at Paris Fashion Week! Well apart from John Galliano's
own headlines of proving himself to be a genius on the runway but a 1st class RACIST  PRICK asjh/5;ql3m4/t;lkn****** IN REAL LIFE!!!! You certainly lost my vote Galliano no matter what you do from now on!!! You know how racists are on my books!!! 


But anyway enough of Lady Gaga & Fall/Winter shows - I like to focus on a sepcific Mugler line.....hmmmmmmm which one you ask??....

So I like to think of myself as the ultimate BEYONCE fan. Gosh..where do I begin? What's there NOT to love....she's multi-talented, she's beautiful, she owns the stage, she's a DIVA; But Most importantly, through all her success she's still managed to stay sane, humble and down-to-earth...& that's what I adore most about her! 

So...I've never really been a big fan of Thierry Mugler until I heard that Beyonce was collaborating with him to create her I Am Sasha Fierce Tour costumes. I was curious to know as to how this would pan out. I was MORE curious as to how the costumes would create the FIERCE "Sasha Fierce image"!! Beyonce was all hush hush about it!!

So I went along for the concert here in Perth - only the "BESTEST BESTER BEST" show I've ever been to in my life I would have to say.....


Hahah so anyway...I went for the concert and the moment she stepped out on stage till the end ........her costumes BLEW me away!!! It was FANTASTICE *french accent*..GENIUS!! FABULOUS!!!

It was edgy/ futuristic/ exaggerated & sexy but most importantly accessible and not pure silliness! It was GENIUS!!!!! Having said all that - Whatever Beyonce puts on her curvy body is always gonna look mind-blowingly fantastic - but this I must say is props to Theirry Mugler!!! The colors...the motifs...the strong statements through the designs...the sharp slick cut..........MIND BLOWING! 

How can your jaw not drop for this? 

AHHHHHH - just WOW to everything about this piece! 

Sasha Fierce enters!!! ON FIRE!!! 

AND THEN enter this FINALE  piece for Single Ladies. Standing Ovation!! I put a RING on the whole thing! haha

Grad-Fab-uation!!!

Grad-Fab-uation? 

Graduation + Fabulous Fashion = Grad-Fab-uation!!! ;) Ok Ok I just made that up! Sheesh! 

So I graduated on the 9th of March (YAY) - and I only shopped for the occasion 3 days before - which never usually happens! That's late in Fashion time! haha

 I knew I wanted something out of the ordinary (well that goes without saying) -  and something that no one else would wear. When I say 'usual' I mean the usual white shirt with a boring old tie and a black suit and panths.......verdict? BORRRINNGGGGG!!!!

To my surprise, instead of my usual edgy black/metalic and concrete look - I was going for a different look altogether.....a sweet yet classic look with colors of pink/purple/turquoise or even VIOLET?!?! ! Just last year I wore my signature BLACK to my brother's graduation in Melbourne. (MELBOURNE FASHION will be on another post HAHA)

So there I was walking aimlessly around Myers thinking I'd never find anything!!! I almost gave up...thinking I'll put something together from my closet...AND THEN it HAPPENED!!! I stumbled upon this sales rack that held business clothing - and there it was..right in the shadowy corner.....my GRADUATION shirt! A metallic VIOLET shirt with white stripes & definitons! The moment I saw it I knew I'd reach the end of my search! 

As I walked on a little more I found my pants too = Slim Cut/ Waist Hugging/ Suck tummy in kind of Pants (accentuates BUM = IMPORTANTE!!) & it sported a grey/silver metallic color. 

That was it all I had to do was tie this look together with a violet/ purple striped tie & I WAS SET!!! I tried it on & FELL IN LOVE!!! I tied the whole look in with my favorite BRONZED out shoes from ZU! Boy...I can just look at these shoes ALL DAYYYY!!!

Whoooo is this JRF?

Sometimes even I ask myself that. Who is this RF that keeps getting linked to my name 'Joel'.

Well FYI my full name is not actually JRF, it's actually JAA ...but we'll not go into that!

So WHO IS THIS JRF you ask.... ?!?!??

.... JRF is my alter ego!!! The personality that I've created, that is able to accomplish whatever the real Joel cannot or is too shy to accomplish ...with swagger/ glam & style!

So there's this shy and reserved me and at the same time there's this whole other person that owns his own swagger, that can demand the attention of a room & make strong fashion statements.

Over the years, I've learnt that Joel and RF can be infused together because we both share a love of FASHION. WE are not afraid to express our individuality within the way we dress!!!

JRF is all about the edgy/ futuristic/ high fashion/ glamourous/ & sharp FINISH!

I am no Andre Leon Taley or Anna Wintour...it's not about the brand I wear or what I wear...it's really all about my FASHION SENSE, what I put together & then most importantly...how I pull it off~~~
