 I really cannot wait to get my hands on this perfume and spray it on me!! I have high expectations!! I'll smell it... trial it in the club - and let you guys know how it is!!

On the difference between Heat and Heat Rush: “Heat is a spicier scent and is bursting with the Red Vanilla Orchid. Heat Rush is fresher and lighter and the Yellow Tiger Orchid is the top note in the fragrance. I love them both for different reasons but they both feature my favorite flower, which is the orchid.”

On which scent her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, would prefer: “Sasha may love Heat more because she is as fiery as the fragrance.” HAHAHAH - I guess JRF might like it TOOOO!!!

On which scent hubby Jay-Z prefers:“They are both approved by him!”

You haven't? O Child....you're deprived!!! *Blaque accent*

But seriously ZU shoes...you must have heard about it!! That store is the bomb - I go there for all my edgy-looking, eye-tilting, fashion-boggling shoes!!! 

Yup I've let the cat out of the Bag - JRF shops for his shoes at ZU!!! 

The thing I love most about the brand is that it's edgy and it's always pushing the boundary of fashion!!!...And the best part is that it includes the mens' shoes too. I mean how many of us men go around shopping looking for something different and envy all the fashion that's moving forward with the ladies' collection, whilst the mens' collection remain stagnant and SAME ol-plain JANE! 

WELL step aside BORING OLD styles - ZU brings mens' shoes to the fore. Well it is the age to be evolving with  mens fashion anyway today! It's moving forward FAST!

Personally, I look at most of the shoe stores and I'm like YAWN ...we all know you can make the same old ugly brown boots and sandals...please show me something new! And then I walk pass the ZU store and I'm blown away! I could spend hours in there trying on all the different shoes! 

Well obviously I can't buy all of them! They are priced around the 100 mark and above. They are made from leather and all other custom materials that create for long-lasting shoes! I've had some of my ZU shoes last for more than 6 years and they still look brand new! Well that's probably because I treat them like GOLD haha! I think all my other shoes are jealous of them by now! 

Not forgetting the ladies' shoes - they're always sky high, and once again always pushing the boundary of how to make EDGY look EDGIER! Let's see some samples shall we?

AHHHHH!! GORGEOUS!!! 

Almost about 3/4 of my shoes are from ZU and I love wearing them. REMEMBER THE GOLD? BRONZED shoes from my GRADUATION post below?? One word = ZU!

Once again ...not only do they look good, they make your flat ugly feet (like mine-haha) feel pretty for once...and they make you feel that much more confident! I would show you some of my shoes - but hey let's just keep the suspense going! You'll see it in time as I do more shoots! haha ;)

So if you're after an edgy, classic, elegant look, or simply after something fashion forward...step on down to a ZU store and be spoilt for choice! The Zu stores are everywhere around Australia!

I thought I take a day off blogging about FASHION today - and share these beautiful words that I came across today with YOU...

TO DIOR or NOT to DIOR

What?

Wait a minute - listen to this...once you read this - you'll be wondering where you stand too!! 

I was updating myself with some fashion fixes on the net when I came across this piece of article that got me thinking! The article says that...

Dior fans are confused on whether to continue to buy Dior bags and products mainly from Galliano's autumn/winter 2011 shows 

OR

....to dismiss his creations all together due to his anti-Semitic verbal abuses that was splurged all over the internet!!! (1st Class RACISM)

As the article puts it, the loyal fans of the classic French brand are in an "awkward position". I must say this made me laugh in my stomach! 

To top this all off, Galliano's 2011 collection has been reported to be the best among recent years and to rave reviews in Paris Fashion Week! 

Usually, the fashion industry, like any other business industry, evolve around a culture of controversies and non-ethics. Almost all or some of these controversies are covered, not spoken of or even just swept under the carpet. It's all about getting ahead and DOING anything to get ahead!!!

HOWEVER

It was apparent that Galliano's racist stance was taken in a VERY serious light - this was seen through the termination of the Head designers position within the French Fashion House!  

The Fashion House is also worried about reaching its sales targets for the 2011 collection that showed in paris due to even loyal fans turning away in repulsion to Galliano! 

So what would you do in this position? Would you continue to buy the bags or would you not buy anything because you're standing against RACISM all together?

Think about it....Either way, Have a stand! Even Dior made the move to fire its most talented designer!

I can tell you NOW that I will not buy anything off the season that has Galliano's imprint on it!! Endorsing and purchasing anything off his collection, and pretending as though nothing happened would make me pretty damn ignorant! In a fraction it is almost like endorsing Hitler's BAD works - hahaahaha! 

So STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT!!!!

Spotlight Parfum: Catch the FEVER!

SO.....HAVE U CAUGHT THE FEVER???

No not the fever bug or a FLU silly!

I meant if you've caught the FEVER from BEYONCE HEAT!!!!! ;) Even saying that name just makes me feel sexier!

Hahahha

Anyway, I thought that after a 2 day break from blogging, I'll KICK off this week with a perfume spotlight. I'll be doing perfume spotlights in and out the week...just to give you a good guide on what's HOT & What's NOT! Just think of it this way...I can help you feel GREAT or help you avoid a SICK nauseated feeling after a whiff of a BAD parfum! hahah

Well anyway...

I bet I can expect a few smirks and smiles by now...coz to really know me is to know that my scent is almost exclusively HEAT by BEYONCE!!! So what better spotlight to start with then on the MAGICAL, the BEAUTIFUL, the SEXY...

Ok ok so it has a bit to do with Beyonce coming up with it.... BUT hey who doesn't want to get one step closer to being like the BOOTYLICIOUS BEYONCE!! haha

BUT to your surprise, the Beyonce factor only influenced 20% of my decision because I'm very picky on my parfums that I use. So the other 80% was purely on the scent and how it would make me feel!

I always say..."it's not what perfume you put on...it's MOST DEFINITELY on how it makes you FEEL?"

AND let me tell you - I caught the FEVER the moment I took my first whiff of this Parfum! This scent makes me OWN the FLOOR, the ROOF & the whole DAMN HOUSE!!!  haha

It's like a must have in my BAG! 

A little about the scent...

The fragrance was composed by perfumers Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan. It features sweet creamy fruity-floral facets while being anchored by woods.

Opening notes are red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach

Sustained notes are honeysuckle nectar, almond macaroon and crème de musk
Lingering notes are giant sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber.

I'm a sucker for NEROLI BTW! 

& just look at the bottle - how sexy is THAT! 

& the AD.....gets your heart RACING!!! *breathe/ breathe!*

Honestly, try the scent out - a spray on your HOT SPOTS & you IMMEDIATELY feel a FEVER coming on....A GOOD FEVER....& you find yourself transcending to Beyonce's superstardom level of FIERCENESS! 

& TRUST ME....it'll most definitely BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE!! The only side effect I'd say is expect DANGEROUS looks coming your way & be prepared for LONG HUGS by others ahah!!  

BTW I know some of you will be wondering where are these hot spots.. I'll just mention them briefly! 

"Also called pulse points, key hot spots on the body produce more heat and can intensify smells!"

This spots include: Neck/ Wrists/Back of Ear (Normal Wear)...Chest/Back/Thighs (Under clothes)

These tips on HOT SPOTS really does maximize the intensity of the scent and keeps it present on the skin for hours!! Hence you have varying notes to a perfume that show up during various times of the long hours of application!!! 

This tip is both helpful for the GUYS & the LADIES! Especially when your special someone comes to cuddle you! haha

I know what you're thinking guys....how can I use this scent right? 

Oh come on... you can like Beyonce HEAT too - you don't have to be too PROUD & MACHO! haha - 

 Beyonce Heat has strong lingering under tones of amber and musk which gives you the masculine feel that you need. If not try mixing this scent with another mens' perfume to get a LUSCIOUS smell & texture! Great mix with D&G The One for MEN! Try it out! 

So...in conclusion.....do we have a winner with BEYONCE HEAT?

Once Upon A... VINTAGE DREAM!

I am soooooooo excited to launch this FUN photoshoot that I did to showcase A Vintage Classy Look. 

Well knowing me...of course I had to put my spin on it! So the Vintage look was brought FASHION FORWARD with some modern influences and embellishments I like to call BLING BLANG! 

The shoot was done in Clairesbrook (East Perth) - a very special ol-town suburb of Venetian style apartments & river views with floating Gondolas! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

 (I'm a succor for Venice & the feeling of walking in a set of old 60s/70s Italian cinema with stunning backdrops - haha!)

GET OUT of TOWN SIZE ZERO!

Is it just me... or are models that are really skinny/anorexic looking just plain unappealing on the RUNWAY! 

After reviewing a couple of fashion shows from the 2011 Fashion Weeks - it seems that designers are still going for the incredibly thin models in comparison to models who can really sell clothes by filling them out!!! 

On top of that, some models are skinny and tall - but in NO WAY do they resemble a model's healthy body or even the most important = A BEAUTIFUL FACE!!! 

It's not uncommon to find an average looking guy; slim, tall and of a plain, pale & sickly complexion walking down the runways of Burberry!! 


What happened to the likes of faces like Marcus Schenkenberg/ Tyson Beckford/ Antonio Sabato Jr. on the runway. A face that would captivate audiences and make you go 'NOW THAT'S A MODEL!"


Are we moving away from the era of supermodels and simply settling for any average tall Joes on the runway! Evidently we are!!! Let's have a look....

WHERE IS HER BOOBS? It's in no way filling out the dress! 

REALLY? Model Like? 

What ever happened to real BEAUTY??

What happened to supermodels, showstoppers or even beautiful models who promote healthy curves and most importantly FILLING out CLOTHES????

It's so nice to watch Victoria Secret models strut their stuff on the catwalk! They own the runway with their strong walk/ their sexy curves & their natural BEAUTY! It makes you want to immediately buy their products simply because it looks good on them! (which is the whole purpose of modeling clothes)!! 

What are we trying to promote in FASHION? Have we not learnt enough after various deaths of anorexic/bulimic models - and for what? All this in pursuit of perfection...a perfect image that exist only in their heads! And what did it lead to?...


DEATH! 

Now this is beauty...and I mean real curves & MEAT! Sim yet Filled! Tell me who does not prefer these.... 

There's a vast difference in putting someone like Tyra Banks, Giselle Bunchen or even Heidi Klum in a couture gown in comparison to someone who has very tiny boobs and bum!

OR even...

putting someone like Tyson Beckford or Marcus Schenkenberg in an underwear in comparison to skinny average Joe 'Burberry' like male models!  

SORRY TO BE SO ABRUPT...

But this issue angers me terribly so!

We want Models/ Super Models on the Runway who fill out clothes! Not someone tall yet aneroxic, who has no model attributes whatsoever!  

It looks like we need celebrities like Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and even Jennifer Lopez to show models and designers how clothes should be filled out on the runways! 

Let's promote healthy beauty in FASHION and not ridiculous size zero models who end up making the clothes they model really non-attractive and non-appealing; and eventually lead to their frailty and sickliness!!! :>
